In a career spanning more than 30 years, Tim’s work is characterized by enduring relationships, stewardship, and the use of technology to enhance firm operations and client experiences.  He has developed a particular specialization in public/institutional projects, making places for education, worship, government services, and healing.

Tim earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Miami University (Ohio) and served seven years there as an adjunct assistant professor.  He holds an NCARB certificate and is licensed to practice architecture in 19 states.

Tim is an active leader in disaster response and recovery, serving two terms as Chair of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Disaster Assistance Committee, Alabama AIA’s State Disaster Coordinator, a FEMA NIMS Post-Disaster Building Safety Evaluation Strike Team Leader, and a CalOES Safety Assessment Program Certified Trainer/Coordinator/Evaluator.  He has led the AIA’s State Disaster Coordinator Network and trained more than a hundred architects, engineers, and code officials in post-disaster building safety assessments.

Tim’s professional and personal involvements have also included:  serving as an officer of AIA Birmingham; Leadership Hoover Board of Directors and inaugural class; Riverchase United Methodist Church’s Lay Leader, Administrative Board Chair, Sunday school teacher and Bible study leader; Habitat for Humanity volunteer; inner city Food Bank distribution in partnership with Greater St. John Baptist Church; and many others consistent with his philosophy of stewardship and giving back to others.

Having graduated from an Alabama Community College before pursuing her degree at The University of Alabama, April knows the tremendous impact community colleges have on a student’s academic and professional growth. Therefore, she is now committed to designing facilities that are instruments in fostering that growth. Over the course of her experience, April’s work has been predominately centered around postsecondary facility construction and renovation.

With her knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, April is highly involved in the production of technical drawings and works to ensure each aspect of the project is carefully coordinated with other disciplines. In addition to interior design and technical production, she is also a project manager and assists in programming, cost estimating, specification writing, and finish and furniture selection.

April is also a professional member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA).

As an architect with more than 22 years of experience, Amanda has been responsible for over 200 education, institutional/healthcare, commercial/retail and religious facility projects of construction cost up to $30 million. She has significant experience with both new construction and renovation of existing facilities.

Amanda’s work is characterized by attention to details, programming to ensure all the client’s needs are met, budgeting so projects remain in budget and building client relationships which resulted in a very high rate of repeat business. A few of the clients she has served include Jefferson County Board of Education, NHS Management, Hibbett Sporting Goods and Riverchase UMC.

Stephanie oversees many of the “in-office” aspects of construction administration. These include assisting in the pre-qualification of contractors, preparing contracts, reviewing contractor applications for payment, tracking and managing the flow of submittals, and coordination of other staff and consultants.
